When we started tutoring, we focused on one-to-one lessons. The thought was, that this would provide the most personal and valuable service possible. Whilst this is true, we became aware of a high demand for lessons for two or more students; friends, siblings or classmates. We realised having multiple students in a lesson allows us to not only educate more students, but it offers another dimension for learning. When watching a student explain their thinking to another student, and then working together to solve a problem, you realise just how beneficial that can be for all parties. We have found great progress can be made when students learn in a small group setting.
When multiple students do a lesson together, we can offer a discount that increases with the number of students. (More students per lesson means less of a cost per lesson.)
